"I would definitely recommend Ryan. It took 15 months to sell our house. We had another agent for the first six months- he did nothing but list it and he mispriced it so we missed an opportunity to sell at a higher price as the market kept slipping during the 15 months. We interviewed 4 agents and went with Ryan. Ryan said right out the gate that we should be at a lower price than we wanted, but were jaded by the previous agent's unrealistic expectations. Ryan weekly placed adds in papers and magazines that prominently showcased our home, and managed the internet presence of our house. We heard from others in the market that they were not geting near the amount of showings we were getting. We have sold about 5 houses and Ryan managed the process the best we ever had. Every Monday we got two emails from Ryan - one showing our competition and another talking about the activity on the internet and print media durning the week. We regret not finding Ryan sooner."
What year did you become a real estate agent?
1997
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
I have been in Real Estate full time since 1997.
What is the average home price in your market?
I sell homes from 80 thousand to over a million, but on average is around 250 thousand
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
I use a lot of internet based advertizing since 80% of all transactions are now utilizing the internet. I capture this by using riders and color print media.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I do not see myself doing anything else. I love advertizing, writing adds and printing pictures in peoples' minds by the use of creative advertizing.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
The most challenging is letting sellers' know what thier home is really worth in todays market. Most people think that thier home is worth way more than what a buyer is willing to pay.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I was at a listing appointment recently and was walking through the home staging and giving ideas to better show the home. I noticed in the closet there was a police uniform, and I realized this was an officer that pulled me over months ago! What a small world. I did get the listing, and the ticket too. :)
What is your best characteristic?
I do not judge anyone. I treat all clients the same. I do not care if you are selling a 100 thousand dollar home or a million dollar home. I was always taught to treat my garbage man just like I treat my attorney.
Who or what inspires you the most?
Hardworking people and people who do not give up.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Live life to its fullest, we are only here for a short period of time and I am making the most of it.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I always say I want to see the world before I die but to live anywhere I would have to say the Florida keys. The laid back atmosphere and warm climate is very inviting!
