- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- I've never had a career that gives me the type of job satisfaction I get with being a real estate agent. You are affecting a very important part of someones life, and there is no better feeling than when you see the look in someones eye when they find the home of there dreams.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- I promised myself that I would always be honest and direct with my clients. Sitting down with someone and telling them that their house is worth less than they anticipated because the market is down is a very hard thing to do, especially when you know they may also be talking to another agent that is willing to tell them what they want to hear, but I still do it because I believe it would be a disservice to them to do otherwise.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- I had some clients with a home another agent had told they'd never sell and had 2 offers in 3 days. I was then able to help them buy their new home for well under the asking price.
- What is your best characteristic?
- I listen to what my clients want, and do everything possible to make it happen. Their needs always come before mine.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- My Broker, Dennis Field, who has been in real estate for over 30 years, has been a huge part of my success.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- "Treat the client the way you would want to be treated if you were in there position."
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- My wife and I have thought about moving to the Southwest because she has bad allergies and I have some bad joints that don't like the cold, but we keep putting it off because we were both born and raised in Kalamazoo and there is no place else we'd rather call home.
