I have been working in the Real Estate industry for 10 years.
What is the average home price in your market?
The average home price in my market is approximately $250,000.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
Personally, I enjoy the freedom and autonomy that comes with being an independent. It is thrilling to help people achieve their goals. Whether it is buying a new home, or helping a family to get out of a financial disaster through a short sale, it is a thrill to help. These are real people. We have the ability to help real people in a meaningful way. It feels good.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Educating sellers and managing their expectations during the short sale process. It is an emotionally demanding situation for them when they are selling their home for substantially less than they paid or owe.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
The numbers don't lie. In 2006 I was forecasting that we were in for a protracted real estate slump. Seasoned real estate professionals told me that I was wrong and that the slump would last for no longer than 6 months. It turns out that my analysis was correct and all I can say is, the numbers don't lie.
What is your best characteristic?
I present quality facts to the clients so that they can make good decisions.
Who or what inspires you the most?
Young people who are dreaming big and imagining and creating and not letting other's expectations get in the way of their success.
What is the best advice you ever received?
You can do this, be patient.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Someplace warm with coral reefs at my back door and where the Scuba is amazing.
