Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I love having the freedom and flexibility to work around my clients. While most agents prioritize their clients according to the value of the homes they engage in, I look at all my clients as life long friends who will come back to me with questions and concerns over the years to come. It gives me tremendous pleasure to serve my clients and help them find the home of their dreams. Whether it's a cozy cottage by the water, a castle overlooking a forest, or an urban sky rise that tempts your spirit, I promise that my team and I will dedicate all of our resources to making that dream a reality!
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Given the recent economic crisis, finding financing for my buyers has been slightly challenging, but I'm noticing changes in the market every day. And I'm delighted to say that they are changes for the better!
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
Although each client interaction is a success in my book, there is one sale which truly epitomizes the hard work that goes in to ensuring client satisfaction. After years of searching for their perfect home, Mr. Shah had not been able to find any homes that met his criteria. He and his wife have four beautiful children between the ages of 14 and 21 and needed their home to be equidistant from Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University, and University of Maryland in College Park. After getting together with him a few times, my team and I started looking in to various developments in hopes that we could help him and his family find their dream home. We ended up building his $1 million estate for under $700,000 in one of the areas most respected communities. Mr. Shah was able to put the reserves towards the children's college funds and the family was ecstatic! To this day, I take pride in the tireless efforts of my team when I think about Mr. Shah and the dream that we were able to make a reality for him and his family.
What is your best characteristic?
Organization. I feel that my fiduciary duty to my clients extends far beyond ensuring them the best price for their home, but rather also includes maintaining a detailed and personalized file for the client and every home that they have taken interest in. This is to ensure that the homes that I am presenting them with are directly in line with their specific wants and needs. As I always tell my team- relate-ability equals profitability.
Who or what inspires you the most?
Helping first-time home buyers get started with their lives and on the road to building long term equity is the most inspiring part of my career! Helping sellers take the crucial second step of upgrading their space and building upon their equity comes in a close second!
What is the best advice you ever received?
My mentor once gave me two pieces of advice which have fueled me since my early childhood- Unless you're rapidly committed to what you're doing, you're rapidly achieving mediocrity, and most success is not about ability, but availability.
