JM buy a previous house with Kandy Shah and would not recommend them to other home buyers.
I am one of her victims. See new report on her on Boston WBZ TV. She tool a $15,000 from me and would not return after the deal fell through. She has been charged with Theft and Larcany. DA's office is investigating her along with 6 other complaints. She will be going to jail. Stay away!
D.R. buy a previous house with Kandy Shah and would not recommend them to other home buyers.
BOSTON (WBZ) ― Oscar Maltez of Malden is one of a half dozen people who say they lost thousand of dollars to a real estate broker. "$20,000 to me, who is regular working guy, is a lot of money." Maltez put his life's savings down on a property in Medford, but when the deal fell through, he says Kandy Shah would not return his deposit. "This person is not a person to trust." Documents obtained by WBZ show that over the past year, Maltez was not alone. State investigators say Shah refused to return large deposits totaling more than $100,000 from at least six clients. And in one case, Shah is accused of taking deposits on a property that was not even listed for sale. This case is expected to be referred to the attorney general's consumer fraud unit. State officials felt Shah's behavior was so bad, they took the unusual action of revoking her real estate license before they even held a hearing. "The law allows where someone is a serious and immediate threat to public health safety and welfare that we can immediately suspend their silence and that is what we have done in this instance," said George Webber is the Director of the State Division of Professional Licensure. A tenant who answered the door at K Realty's Somerville address told WBZ that Shah no longer worked there. Shah wasn't at her home in Peabody either. On Tuesday, WBZ tried to speak with Shah on her cell phone, but she hung up. Oscar Maltez filed a criminal complaint against Shah in Somerville District Court and was able to recover a small amount of money.
