I admit some guilt here, I signed a document that I should have read completely. But I requested to withdraw my application after virtually no work had been done. They apparently wanted $1100.00 for doing less than an hours work and I didn't sign a lease! John lectured for about an hour about how he should keep half of my $2200.00 deposit because I was withdrawing my application for a rental (because I had found a better apartment elsewhere, I gave them a deposit at 7pm and called to withdraw the first thing the next morning). After being lectured over the phone for an hour. I called the Owner and he said the check would be ready so I can go to the office and pick it up. When I get there he lectures me for a while about the same thing. after about 10 minutes he decides to put his hand on my shoulder, I decide that that is not acceptable and I demand the check. He doesn't want to give it to me. He makes me walk outside, curses at me and FINALLY gives me the check. An awful experience!
