- How many years have you been in Real Estate?
- This is my second year as a licensed agent.
- What is the average home price in your market?
- My average sale price is $350,000 but the markets average is about $175,000.
- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- I am a psychology major with 7 years experience in customer service training. The bottom line is that I like people. I've been involved in real estate buying and investing for the last 20 years. My husband is a general sales manager and together we have the service and the sales part down quite well. I picked a profession that I would do (as was doing for the past 20 years) without getting paid. I love to help people get in a new home and sell there home to move on to a new situation. That is very satisfying to me.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- The most challenging issue I face is the lack of knowledge I run into with other people in this profession. I am relatively new and I've always prided myself on coming up with solutions for people and being accurate at what I am telling people. I take being a real estate agent very seriously. I'm not sure everyone feels this way and I question some people's work ethic. I'm lucky that I do not feel the financial pressures of some and maybe this enables me to make better decisions for my customers. Plus I care. Caring and trying to do the right thing is something that often disappoints me with other people involved in real estate.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- One of the most exciting and fun moments I had the privledge of experiencing in real estate is selling a home to an NBA player. This was a lot of fun, he was great to work with, and he purchased a beautiful home. This experience has enabled me to pick up alot of high end customers and I learned alot about working the luxury housing market.
- What is your best characteristic?
- My best characteristic is persistence. I am one of the most persistent people you will meet along with a great work ethic. I am very service orientated, as a matter of fact I think of myself as a service provider not a sale rep. in real estate.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- I love to hear stories (and I know quite a few people who are like this) of people who have already experienced , wealth, fame and success and make an unselfish decision to give back to the less privledged. I like to hear them say how that "was the most rewarding thing they have ever done". This to me is inspirational because they do not have to take the time to do anything like that, they choose to...
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- My best advice I have ever received is to keep working. It is amazing how 20 % of the people accomplish 80% of the work. Hard work and persistence pay off.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- I would live in Southern California. I love the climate, the atmosphere and I have a very talented daughter that dances and California is set up for the arts.
