Mike is a really nice guy and helped us buy our house. He wants to be everyone's friend, including the sellers. I think that because his desire to please everyone, we ultimately hurt ourselves. I know it's easy to point fingers when something goes wrong, and I take responsibility for that but looking back, we probably should have cut Mike loose. He was not aggressive enough and did not help protect us. Our house now, which was caught at the time had water in the basement but Mike wanting the sale convinced us it was not a problem and the water came from the door. The inspector even convinced us. We made the mistake in believing both parties and now we are faced with water damage that has been there for over 10 years. We should have known better but Mike should have protected us as well and instead of convincing us there was no water issue, suggested we invite a professional basement evaluator to double check the issue. We will not use Mike to sell or buy another house.
