- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- We have recently gone through some difficult times in our industry. My challenge has been in helping sellers understand the depreciation on their homes. If they need to sell, they must get in the game, Sellers are competing with forclosures and short sales and must price their homes competitively. I have learned to tell it like it is. You are not doing anyone any favors by sugarcoating the state of affairs.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- I met a gentleman who did not like Realtors and felt he could sell his home by himself. He was an actuary and only dealt in numbers. Well at the end of the day, I did several spread sheets, marketed his home, found a buyer and closed the deal. We both gained mutual respect.
- What is your best characteristic?
- My people skills are my best characteristic. I have the ability to listen to people and give them what they need/want. (And my sense of humor!)
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- I have a client who has inspired me with his ability to not sweat the small stuff, keeping his eye on the ball and always having a positive outlook.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Some of the best advice I have received is to" know your stuff" and if you don't know-say you don't know and find out.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- If I couldn't live in the Chicago area I would like to be in France.
