- How many years have you been in Real Estate?
- 16 years - since 1991. I started out as a Century 21 agent and made the move to RE/MAX in 1997
- What is the average home price in your market?
- $350,000
- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- Over 93% of my business comes from personal referrals and past clients. I love being welcomed into my clients' families and watching them grow and being able to share in their experiences. It all starts with a home they can call their own!
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- Technology! There's so much of it and it seems to keep me from being in front of the people I want to be with. I have a business coach and recently hired an assistant to help keep me out of the office.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- 3 adults were living in a 2-bedroom mobile home with their 3 young children. After working out some credit issues and saving a little more money, I was able to find them a beautifully rehabbed 4-bedroom home with a huge family room and spacious backyard. And the home was within walking distance to schools for the 2 older kids. Now they have space plus privacy.
- What is your best characteristic?
- I am caring, considerate, and listen very closely to my client's needs. Everything I do for them is geared towards what works best for them.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- I love quotes and words of inspiration. One of the most recent quotes I've posted over my computer: "If you treat an individual as if he were what he ought to be and could be, he will become what he ought to be and could be."
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Trust your instincts and treat everyone with kindness and consideration. Don't waste your time with people who don't want to work with you.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- Right here in the Chicago area! I love the change of weather and the opportunities to expand my business are endless.
