It's funny, as time passes, you find your self outgrowing your space. We needed to find a bigger home and I remembered buying a home from Great Street Properties years back, so this time I figured I'd again, give them a shot. Well, not that buying anything is easy or always enjoyable when it comes to taking money out of your pocket. Times are rougher than I'd like it to be but we needed new home. Especially with that in mind, the shopping experience and most important the installation from transaction was smooth. We are again,happy customers. Enough so that I wanted to post a comment on Yelp. Some people have gripes not even based on the things being fair. Here's a report of a good buying experience, a great transaction, and no problems. More people should take the time to write about their positive experiences. We are glad we worked with Great Street. Actually the two kids are happiest.

I have used agents in the past and they were not full time dedicated realtors. George is a full time dedicated realtor that went every week (above and beyond)for the last 3 months to show properties and submitted numerous offers over and over and did a great job until I found a property that made me money. I highly recommend if your looking to buy or sell George is your guy he knows all areas and has a good grasp of what is needed to sell or buy property. Ill be buying my second property soon with George. He an expert understanding of all real estate areas and how transactions work. My wife and I had a contract on an Oak Realty property located at 7741 s. Crandon. This first issue was The "new rehab" had quite a bit of issues and every time something was fixed; something else was broken. We still tried to be optimistic and had every intention in moving forward until the day of closing when their lawyer Mr. Avrum Reifer decided he was going to refuse to comply with the contract and amendments and insult both me and my wife as well as our attorney by being condescending , rude, and borderline racist. After 3 hours nothing was resolved and we had no choice but to walk away. This is close to my worst human interaction in life. Our lawyer could not get in contact with Mr. Reifer throughout the whole process and apparently he could only be contacted via fax and his assistant whom is not a lawyer does the majority of his job because according to him he "is not good with details". I spoke to Mr. Montro's office several times to get our earnest money back and they kept delaying the process. At the same time he sends our agent new listings for us to see as if we really want to do business again after all of this mess. Finally after 4 weeks of follow ups, Frank Montro himself calls me and he says "I will get your earnest money back to you" and sure enough it has not happened and he tells our agent let the lawyers deal with it. How? Our lawyer is yet to even get a phone number on this guy. After all the money, time and energy wasted throughout this process they're going to try to keep our earnest money after we have been fouled by none other than people he does business with?

I was a little hesitant at first, however am very satsifed with experience. Everyone that I dealt with was very professional and courteous. It seems like some others that left comments didn't offer enough and didn't get the property they wanted. It makes sense why they would be upset, but it seems like they probably went too far. You probably guessed it, we offered over list and got our new home. Thanks Great Street!

Oh dear. Where do I start. I didn't do any due diligence in trying to find a realtor - HIGHLY unusual for me. It's was a pleasant turn of fortune that I ended up with Diana. This was a long process. We didn't go under contract until April, and didn't close until June. And over that 8-month process, Diana became my confidante, advisor, go-to expert and friend. Now, I said 8-month process. Never once did she lose her patience, even though I was always a bit indecisive and there were probably moments when she thought I was never going to pick a place. She was an incredibly helpful resource and sounding board - always answering my questions, prodding for how I was feeling and what I was looking for, but NEVER pushing me towards anything I didn't want to do. She was available at incredible hours. She probably worked longer weeks than I did - and that's saying something. And she always bent her schedule to an extent that I felt my showings, conversations, emails were always a priority. She is very very cheerful. I'm a very energetic person myself, so it was great that we bounced off each other's enthusiasm that way (we could have powered the nearest cell tower between the two of us). She genuinely loves her job, which makes her that much better at it. There were some things that I still had to handle myself - I felt more comfortable deciding on the numbers behind the offer and the negotiation myself; I picked my own broker because I did the research to find the best rate; I did a second due diligence behind the property (consider it the equivalent of a second opinion with a medical diagnosis). She made herself available throughout all this and never took it the wrong way that I chose to handle these myself. I could keep writing about this. I could tell you that I've recommended her to two different co-workers, who have both been very happy (and for whom Diana has given me referral gifts :) - because she's just that thoughtful) I could tell you that when I had my housewarming on a night when she was busy - she made sure to come over with her husband at some point to give me a housewarming gift. I could tell her that I genuinely don't think I could have found the place where I'm very very happy without her. I could tell you that when I buy another place in the future, there's only one agent I'd consider. Or... you could just go talk to Diana and see for yourself.

I know for a fact that she did all sorts of illegal stuff. She sold my condo and told me afterwards some of the crap she pulled to get it sold. It's so hard to find good honest people these days. This is especially true in real estate taking into consideration the current market challenges. Prior to this review, I have never had someone make enough of an impact on me to write a review or testimonial about them or their product. When you speak to George, you will quickly see the depth of knowledge he has of the Chicago real estate market. George has never once turned down an opportunity to help me out. He has provided me priceless real estate knowledge, helped me rent out my condo, and he most recently guided me through a very challenging new construction purchase. George treats all of his clients as if they were million dollar clients. For that reason, George Patrick is now a household name for myself, my friends, and my family. George Patrick is the best realtor I've ever had. Many realtors are knowledgable, professional, and courteous. What is unique about George is that he looks out for his clients. There have been so many times I could not believe what he suggested or did. He actually took my best interests over his own interests. I used to joke with my daughter, saying that something is wrong with George, because people don't do that anymore nowadays, especially in the business world. He helped me purchased a condo last year for my daughter to live. Because of his dependable character, I decided to purchase another condo this year. George did everything for me and found me a tenant 5 days after closing. I have not even seen the condo yet, because I live out of state. The properties I purchased were foreclosure and short sale. George was efficient and effective in his business strategies. He helped me get great deals. The prices were so low that he really did not get a whole lot of commission. But he always treated me as if I was someone who was buying a million dollar mansion. I would recommend him to anyone. You will not be disappointed. He is a God-sent to me.

I worked with George and his buyers on the lending side and his buyers were happy- he met their goals, quickly and smoothly, easy to work with, on top of the deals, very smooth. He really knew about the whole transaction on top of knowing the Chicago neighborhoods. If a customer asked me who I would refer, I would respond that George Patrick is a solid agent with the customer's needs put first.
