- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- The creative challenges inherent in matching individual wants and needs with reality. Every buyer and seller has their own unique situation, which is often at odds with the housing market, personal preference or environmental factors. Satisfaction arises from the ability to discover or create workable, win-win situations for these clients.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- The personal and very emotional nature of most transactions, each of which usually involves a variety of parties, can make keeping everyone happy a difficult task at best. Coupled with the constant threat of lawsuits for failing in the slightest regard, being constantly on guard and wearing numerous hats is probably the greatest challenge.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- I have had, and have, many wonderful clients. To single one out would diminish the impact the others have had on my career and life. There are those out there who have been particularly memorable (MT -- if you ever read this, you know who I'm talking about!), but good or bad, each leaves their mark. Perhaps the most noteworthy aspect is how many end up staying with you after you leave the closing table, as much friends as clients.
- What is your best characteristic?
- Attention to detail (the little things that count in a big way).
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- Individuals who stand up and make a stand for the things they believe in. Not just big name society changers, or on large issues, but average people who see a wrong and try to make it right in their own small way. They show it can be done and inspire others (like myself) to do the same.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Believe in yourself and the rest of the world will follow.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- Unfortunately a cliche . . . a tropical / sub-tropical beach area, not overly developed -- perhaps the northern coast of Brazil or Venezuela?
