I listed my house with this brokers office in October of 2007. The contract was for 6 months and the marketing package stated: prepare and sumit advertisement to newspaper, schedule property for office and MLS tours, hold open houses, provide by-weekly market activity reports.(NONE OF THESE EVER OCCURED) One open house was held without benefit of advertisment, 2nd open house was scheduled and agent never showed up. People were sent to property to see property and we were verbally abused by them as we had not heard of appointment being booked. We asked that we be released from this contract as they didn't seem interested in doing what they proposed in the contract and marketing plan. We were sent an e-mail bill for $500. for cancellation of contract. We were threaten that they would change status on MLS to Temp off market without any paperwork being signed. They then removed listing from MLS without informing us. They never returned phone calls, just hid behind computer emails.
