- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- I so much enjoy the diversity my job allows me. I am in control of my time - well, sort of. I believe a Realtor works harder and longer hours than so many in 9-5 jobs. I love being able to be outside showing homes, viewing them, keeping up with trends in home ownership, meeting new people from all walks of life. I also believe that I have the opportunity to make a living when others are struggling to find work. Real estate is not going to disappear. People buy and sell homes every day. We all have to have a place to live and many, many want that to be a place they own. Home is definitely where the heart is.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- This market. It is tough and the challenges are so varied and inumerable. Some of them are almost impossible. Crashing deals take the biggest toll on me. I work so hard to put a deal together, and when it crashes for whatever reason, and sometimes it can be such a small thing, that is hard for me.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- Last month I sold a house to a gentleman from Jamaica. He had cash from his retirement for this purchase, and he had picked a precise area. We spent many, many days over a course of two or three months visiting homes in this area. I didn't always understand what he was saying because he had a very heavy dialect, but we managed to get along famously. I truly didn't know if we were ever going to get the job done, and find the house for him. He made offers on about four or five homes before finally winning the bid on one. I always wondered why he didn't bring his wife along as he insisted her name be on the deed, and eventually I met her and she actually signed papers on a home she had not seen. Well, this morning I received a call that this man passed away early this morning from a heart attack. His friend who called me said that he was buying the house as a surprise for his wife so that if he did pass away he would leave her with something of value. The thing is no one knew he had anything wrong with him. I was totally shocked, but reflecting on this, I realize even more how important a home is to each person. This is why I am in real estate.

- I ike people. I am friendly. I am sincere.

- Working with people who enjoy life.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- "Don't sweat the small stuff."
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- Right here, but all our children would live within 20 miles, not 900 miles away.
