Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I love the challenge. I love helping sellers to market their homes and buyers to find the exact property they are searching for. I enjoy helping business owners to market and sell their commercial listings. I love turning these clients into long time friends.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Getting sellers to price their properties correctly and helping buyers understand that the market has stabilized and that prices aren't going to continue to free fall.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I had the sellers and the buyers on a shopping center sale and purchase at a price of 2.5 million. The seller went out of town for the 90 days while the buyers were doing their due diligence and the seller put his son in charge of providing me with all of the information the buyers needed. The due diligence period ended, the buyers said they were ready to move forward, the sellers returned from their 90 day vacation. Everything seemed to be fine. The seller asks me one day, the buyers didn't mind that I had given such and such tenant a 10 year lease at $6.00 a sq ft? I said where was that listed in the lease? Somehow or another that paper was not in the file the buyers reviewed. So after they had completed their due diligence and agreed to move forward I had to take this information to them. After thinking about it for 24 very very long hours they called and said that if the seller would reduce the purchase price $75000. they would move forward. With great trepidation I drove to the sellers home, I shared with him what the buyer was presenting as a way to resolve the problem. The seller said no problem. I thought I would pass out, however I got up, drove home and took my husband out for a great celebration dinner. That experience taught me never to prejudge what a person might do. Don't become emotionally attached to the outcome.
What is your best characteristic?
I am very nurturing and compassionate and people feel comfortable with me due to that.
Who or what inspires you the most?
My children and my husband are my inspiration. Everything I do, I do for them. To be able to provide for them and help them in their lives to succeed. I want to be able to allow my husband to not have to work so hard. He has spent the past 30 years supporting us and I want to be able to return that to him.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Its business its not personal. Another would be not to become attached to the outcome of a business deal. When a person knows you are emotionally attached to the outcome they will use that to your disadvantage.

Right where I am, living on Lake Rousseau in Inglis, FL
