Matthew was the 2nd agent I worked with when buying a new apartment in DC. Both he and the first came highly recommended but after a few weeks of working with the first agent I felt frustrated and unheard so, I decided to test the waters with Matthew. What I got was the über agent: responsive, thorough, tactful, persistent, a genuine advocate, committed to me getting the home that I wanted, he always found an answer to my questions, and he offered excellent advice and gave me the space to make my own decisions. Matthew handled the frustrating and drawn out elements of my home purchase beautifully and made sure that I got everything that I was entitled to in the final negotiations. I’ve heard a lot of stories about people’s experiences with their real estate agents - some good some not so good. Matthew got high praise before he worked for me and now that I’ve worked with him I can genuinely offer that same high praise to anyone else looking for an agent.

I absolutely would not recommend Susan Heine. She represented a tenant for our luxury rental condo in mid 2008 in NW DC. Not only did Susan not show to the lease signing, nor present a written tenancy agreement, she encouraged us to provide extra services outside of the lease (intenet, cable, etc) agreement. Susan's client is accused of fraud and has 6 evictions/judgements for possession outstanding against her between DC, LA and VA + other money judgements totaling over $40,000 (have documentation for all). We sued her client in Landlord and Tenant DC court after the 2ND month, as we never received any rent after the initial lease signing. Had the client been listed as the rental applicant, we could have performed our due diligence. Instead, Susan was a major cause in concealing her client's identity and us losing $20,000 in lost rent and legal fees. Susan's lack of character, honesty and integrity couldn't be more apparent and is an embarrassment to real estate professionals.

Sandy Seestedt is employed by Long and Foster. I recently bought a home from her and I was very pleased with the service and treatment. I had been to a few other real estate agents from this agency, and I was continuously dissapointed. As soon as she began to help me sell my home and buy another, I began to understand the housing market, something I know little about. I highly recommend this agent because of her incredible ability of listening to what I wanted. She also spoke to me on a very real level, contrary to what Long and Foster previously provided (agents who did not directly speak to me). She basically helped me to understand how my home could sell and appeal to others. I very much appreciated her time and I hope others find her as worthy as I did.

I was very suprised that Sandy had the capability to have a liscense. She not only did not know specific laws of DC, but she also failed to answer (directly) any of my questions regarding property sales. I contacted Long & Foster to share with them my horrible experience and they pretty much told me that was to be expected by her! Beware of this Agent!

He stopped returning my phone calls. I think he was addicted to drugs. He is a thief and a liar.
