What year did you become a real estate agent?
1997
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
10
What is the average home price in your market?
varies, I sell from low $100's, because we work with investors to the high $300's for my resale clie
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
Over the past 2 to 3 years there have been several. We have been faced with a very slow market and we are one of the highest foreclosure states. Our home values have dropped about 20% in the past 2 years and there seems to be discussion about this being the way things will be for about another 2 to 5 years.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
As a Real Estate Broker, I am proud to "Represent" a Buyer or Seller through the very important process of home selling. It's a huge investment and I work to protect my Clients best interest. I't rewarding. I like looking for the perfect home for a Buyer or working the best contract for a Seller.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
In todays market..1. Marketing the home to give the listing the highest and best possible exposure. 2. Finding good qualified Buyers. 3. Keeping our own heads above water while doing this. The cost of doing real estate can be daunting.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I have several. My favorite is:
One of our return Clients wanted a larger home. We staged their home, put it on the market and I set out to find the home of their dreams. We were told they approved for $345k. I found a gorgeous, remodeled Victorian. We recieved 2 offers on thier home and we were ready to make an offer on this Victorian when the lender surprised us with a lower approval amount. I wasn't ready to throw in the towel. I knew this Victorian was their dream home. So I made the ridiculous offer to the Seller of the Victorian property with a "letter of introduction" for my Buyers. Initially they rejected the offer...then a week later they called and said they thought these Buyers were suppose to have the house and accepted our offer. We had already been through the inspection on another house but my Buyers, knowing they would lose their earnest money on the current contract, jumped at this beautiful home. We closed successfully.
What is your best characteristic?
LISTENING to my clients.
For my listings, it's my marketing and consulting the sellers, keeping the contracts together, qualifying a potential buyer.
For my Buyers, it's the ability to get a really good idea what they are looking for and finding them the perfect home. I can find am average 95% of their want list.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I have not been everywhere, although I would like the opportunity to see Hawaii, the East Coast, Montana...and other places in the world outside the U.S., I always seem to come back to Colorado.
I grew up here and find this a beautiful state. Mountains, great weather, good people, art, music, and, of course, family. Did I mention the most amazing sunsets, sunrises...Beautiful !
