Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
Although things have quieted down some, Colorado Springs is still one of the healthier markets in the country. Although the city as a whole has experienced about a 7% decline in average sales prices over the last year, there are still some local neighborhoods experiencing higher market values, albeit minimal.

Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
It may sound cliche, but being a part of making dreams come true.

What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Getting financing in today's tough financial markets. It is difficult, but not impossible.

Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I worked with a client who was very ill and her deepest heartfelt wish was to buy a home her children could call their own. There were some serious credit challenges, and at the last minute, the lender reran the credit scores, which lowered the total average below the threshold. After working with the managers at the three major bureaus, I was able to get the scores manually re-tabulated just high enough so the buyer's loan would go through. Needless to say, that transaction nearly caused an ulcer! And it was the most tearful closing I have ever witnessed! But the most rewarding!

What is your best characteristic?
Perseverance! I won't give up, no matter how challenging the circumstances!

Who or what inspires you the most?
My children inspire me the most. They taught me the true meaning of unconditional love.

What is the best advice you ever received?
To take some time for your family. As a Realtor, you can work some very long hours. And so it is important you set some time aside to spend real quality time with your family.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I loved the beaches of St. Thomas and St. Maarten, so would love a little beach house sitting on a bluff overlooking the Caribbean!
