- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- First and foremost, it allows me the opportunity of working directly with people to help them realize the dream of home ownership. Secondly, it allows me the freedom to do things that I want.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- Staying busy! Isn't that the biggest thing that most Realtors face... it's a very competitive market and it always seems to be fewer clients than Realtors!
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- The best success and most interesting moment in my career were one and the same really. My very first client was looking for her first home and her father was a retired home builder, so he picked at all the homes we looked at! In total I showed her over 50 homes. When we walked in the door of the last one, she said to me, "This is it! I'm home!" And she was. We wrote the offer and she got the home for $10,000 less than the listing price! She was, to say the least, very exstatic about that.
- What is your best characteristic?
- Attention to detail. Serving 20 years in the Army made that almost an inherent trait. I leave nothing to chance, in my personal life or my professional life. Every "I" is dotted and every "T" is crossed.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- The feel of complete satisfaction that I get when I have successfully helped a first-time home buyer through the maze of the buying process and into their first home.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Never, never, ever take 'no' for an answer. If you want something, keep after it until you get it.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- Right here in Colorado Springs. I grew up an 'Army Brat' and served 20 years in the Army myself. In all that time I lived and traveled all over the world. When it was time to retire from Fort Carson, CO I stayed here rather than moving anywhere else. It is simply the best place on earth that I can think of to live!
