What year did you become a real estate agent?
1994
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
15, I have certainly seen many different "markets" come and go.
What is the average home price in your market?
$600,000, but a starter home can be under $200,000
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
We are seeing a lot of short sales in our general area, but the Conejo Valley is still holding strong due to the great schools and way of life.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I really enjoy solving problems and helping my clients achieve their goals. I love the fact that no two days or transactions are the same.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
It takes a lot of work to keep up with all the changes in the law and the real estate market, but that is part of what makes the job so interesting.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
One of my most rewarding experiences was to find a home for a couple in their 40's. They had immigrated to this country and worked really hard to put their children through college. They never even dreamed that they would ever own their own home. We were able to find a first time buyer program and find them a little fixer that needed a lot of work. They were the first people in their family to own their own home and the husband told me that it was the fulfillment of dream for them. We sat on the floor of the empty home with a bottle of champagne and toasted their success. We all had tears in our eyes.
What is your best characteristic?
It is always hard to be objective, but I always treat people as if they were a family member. If I would not accept something for my mom or brother, I will not accept it for my clients.
Who or what inspires you the most?
My Mom, she is always strong and positive, no matter how serious the situation.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Do to others as you would have done to you.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would live 1/2 the year right here in California, I love my town! The other half would be spent travelling.
