Buyer & Seller Beware
We recently purchased a foreclosed property from a bank which Ellyn Dembowski represented. As is well known, purchasing a property can be a very stressful experience. Obviously this event is influenced by the listing and selling agent. Despite being stressful, it can be a rather smooth transaction. Unfortunately, ours was far from. Not all of the responsibility falls on the agents shoulders. There's the lender, escrow, notary, and broker to consider as well. Nonetheless, Ellyn's behavior is not what one would expect from someone who?s been in this business as long as she has. If we could describe Ellyn Dembowski in a few words they would be unprofessional, uncooperative, and negligent. She seems to have lost touch with the reason she has this job in the first place. Not just selling homes but selling homes to people. She seems to do very well exploiting foreclosures and making the sale even though our house had a dangerous gas leak. One would think that with the recent PG&E fatal explosion, she?d take a gas leak a little more seriously. Unfortunately, Ellyn's behavior not only reflects poorly on her but on Prudential as well. If we had to do it again, and still wanted our property, we'd request that Prudential find a replacement for Ellyn. Foreclosure properties may or may not be for you but our advice is to definitely think twice before making an offer on an Ellyn Dembowski property. At the end of the day we still got a great house; although it's not because of, but rather, in spite of Ellen Dembowski.
