- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- I truly enjoy seeing a very excited new Buyer move into his/her new home. I also enjoy a successful sale for Sellers.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- In today's fast paced market, one needs to keep apprised of all new listings and new developments being built to get a Buyer in to his/her new home. Multiple offers are still the norm for great properties or those in "move-in" condition. Finding the right price to be the successful bidder is a challenge. We never want our Buyers to overpay!
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- Many years ago, I had a client once who needed to sell his unit to avoid foreclosure. We negotiated with the Bank of America and literally got them to hold off selling it on the steps of City Hall in a foreclosure proceeding. We marketed and sold the unit within a short period of time. The Seller actually made a small profit on the sale. The sad thing is he never said a word of thanks to any of us involved. I had another Buyer who looked constantly for 3 years. We went touring together. He also went out on Sundays alone as I cannot tour with the same client each weekend for that long a period of time. We also went out on tours in the evenings during the week. He made an offer on a couple of properties but lost due to someone overbidding him. We finally found a property he loved and made a winning bid. He was so excited and I was thrilled. I actually missed working with him. I usually miss clients that I love working with -- but I stay in touch and serve as a resouce for them.
- What is your best characteristic?
- I am an excellent and knowledgeable Listener. By listening to the specific wants and needs of both Buyers and Sellers, one can make the whole process a lot less stressful and it can be enjoyable for all involved. Knowing the inventory helps too.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- I am inspired by people who can conquer adversity and rise above. I am inspired by people who do good deeds without needing pubicity for them. I am inspired by the men and women who are willing to die for a cause they believe in. I am inspired by people who try to only notice the good things in others.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Listen well, learn the inventory even if you do not have a Buyer at that specific price range and be totally honest.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- That is too hard to say. I have travelled all over the world from China to Bangkok, Israel to Morocco, all over Europe, Mexico ..... I have seen many countries and many are still on my list to visit. Perhaps after seeing every country I want to see, I could then give you an answer.
