unprofessional
To start, Tony increased the asking price despite telling us that his client would accept (we were the only bidder). He told us we would like our inspector because he would be thorough, but when the inspector did find several things for which we put on the addendum as a negotiation starting point, we received the following response from Tony: "I thought your buyers were serious about buying a home. I'm sorry but my seller isn't going to agree to any of this. Please come back with the removal of contractors and pest contingency or send us the cancellation of escrow. You guys should educate your buyers and let them know that they are buying a quality home in a great neighborhood in San Francisco. If they want a cookie-cutter home that is brand new with no character have fun showing them places in the suburbs. All of these requests are pathetic. All the Best, Tony Alejandre" We were forced to drop all contingencies and take legal counsel for the contract to be honored.
Cheesy agent
Agent and client offered to release escrow funds in order to extend escrow period only to buy a few weeks more time and at the last minute backed out of the deal, effectively costing seller thousands in lost rent. Claimed they would release escrow funds and effectively pay rent to cover the mortgage... in the week prior to the end of original escrow they canceled the deal leaving sellers to scramble for a renter after they moved out of the area weeks ago.
