The only thing "Kingly" about Mr. Mehren's business practices is his propensity to treat people he works with as his inferiors. He is very knowledgeable about the laws and intricacies of the market, but has the mindset of a mob attorney in using this knowledge to "muscle" others around. Mr. Mehren stays within the bounds of the law, but my personal experience with him as a seller agent consisted of incessant attempts to use contract provisions to force me out of the deal so that he could accept a better offer made after mine. I personally know many realtors and they all agree that while this is not illegal, bargaining in such poor faith is not standard practice for this market and most agents are fairly reasonable. My buyer agent and I had to resort to the same tactics of rigidity and loopholes to counter this and ultimately made the purchase, but I do not recommend working with Mr. Mehren as he is likely to make this already stressful process unnecessarily moreso.
