- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- I enjoy helping people through difficult transactions. My background as a lawyer gives me a serious advantage over my peers with contracts and negotiations. And my MBA in marketing allows me to make a bigger impact for home sellers when I market their homes for sale.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- It's sometimes challenging when people have preconceived notions of what Realtors are like, and what they do. I'm not a traditional real estate sales person. Many people expect me to act like a used car salesman, but I'm more like a lawyer. I'm very analytical and I use facts to help people make their own decisions.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- Most of my business comes from referrals from past clients and business associates. However, I have a website that ranks very highly for major search terms on the Internet. So many of my most interesting moments happen when I'm able to match overseas clients with the perfect homes in San Diego... often before they every arrive in California. The international marketing is something that I do differently, which has helped quite a few of my luxury homes clients sell their properties when they otherwise might not have been successful finding a buyer.
- What is your best characteristic?
- I'm very personable, which is something that you don't see much in analytical people. The combination of those two characteristics has served me well.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- I'm inspired by just about anyone who is passionate about what they do. Whenever I see that passion in others I become even more passionate about helping people with real estate transactions.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Don't compare your insides to other people's outsides.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- It's really hard to beat San Diego. That's why I'm here!
