We were in San Diego on vacation. We live in the desert and considered buying a rental property in S.D. to use in the summer and rent out in the winter. We stopped into his office. We had a nice chat and told him what we were looking for. We were hoping for a foreclosure or short sale. He said he was an expert in short sales. We picked a day to look at condos. The morning we were to look, I had not yet heard from him and he had not responded to my emails. I called him, his outgoing message stated the date and day of the week. By then it was obvious that he changed his mind and didn't want to work with us. I assume that we weren't big enough spenders for him as we didn't want to spend more than 120K. We ended up calling another agent and we even put a bid in on a unit for 200K. Someone paying cash got the unit over us. In any case, this person wasn't man enough to take my call and say he changed his mind. We were really surprised and disappointed in him.
