The worst realtor ever!!!
I have bought and sold many homes in the past. This guy was the worst agent ever! He needs a big time make over INSIDE and OUT! He has no manner, class, or professionalism that takes to be successful in this industry. Century 21 is hurting its reputation by letting him represent the company. Eric is a type of a person who needs to work all by himself, since he has ZERO social skills. He is rude, unintelligent, arrogant, and is not smart enough to listen to customers' needs. I have two other friends who are interested in buying a house within a couple of months and I will make sure that they won't buy one from this grumpy guy. Of course, I don't need to make sure that because his negative presence itself will drive any pleasant people away.
Rude, Nasty, and Very Unprofessional
Classic Napoleon Complex. Very short with people and yells at them constantly. I have no idea how anyone does business with him. It is clear that his wife is the bread winner in the family, because there is no way his attitude encourages people to list with him or use him to buy a home. I have spoken with several agents, and as soon as I mention his name they cringe. I have heard him on the phone with clients and others that he does business with, and it amazes me that this guy is still in business. He must have a Jeckyl and Hyde personality. IF YOU SEE FENCHEL ON A LISTING, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Given these historical times where owning real estate has transformed being the "American" dream to now being the "American" nightmare it takes "proven" professionals that not just understand the market but "tackle" the market each and everyday. It takes a professional that doesn't just list a home and "hopes for the best", but rather develops strategy to sell your home and one that understands the daily fluctuations to make critical adjustments to successfully market and sell a home in today's market – That is what you get with the Fenchel Team. As Ronald Reagan once said, "Part of being revolutionary is knowing that you don't have to acquiesce to the tired, old ideas of the past…" And with Eric and Robin they too do not acquiesce to the ideas of the past or the tired ideas, but rather call and say, "Hey this idea is not working, things have changed, we too need to change our strategy…" This is the difference with the Fenchel Team. For me, and in the future, it's the Fenchel Team!
Excellent, Went the extra mile.......
Eric was fantastic - a fair and keen negociator, did not waste our time or other parties while at the same time was able to be detailed and complete in all aspects of transaction. Not a babysitter, but an excellent agent with hard earned experience. Would highly recommend to both buyers and sellers without reservation and would trust completely with any future realstate transactions.
Helpful in a Down Market
I have rented in Irvine for many years and recently decided to purchase a home with my wife. We had heard a lot of good things about Eric and Robin from a number of friends who had used them to buy (and in some cases sell also!) their homes. Buying for the first time is obviously an exciting process, but my wife and I were worried whether now was the right time to buy... or whether we should continue to wait out this down market. I spent countless hours with Eric, who had a drive to find us the perfect place. Sure, he's a talker. And sure, he has a little bit of "New York" in him. But when it comes down to it, he was very knowledgeable about the area and sensitive to our needs. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.
Very Rude - Does not get it
Wow, what an experience dealing with this guy. Extremely rude, one sided conversations and does not listen. He does not understand declining markets. I would not recommend him to anyone as a Realtor for buying and selling Real Estate.
Unpleasant and extremely rude. DON'T WORK WITH HIM
Eric Fenchel is an extremely rude and unpleasant "professional". He calls himself a realtor with multi-million dollar listings, but he cuts people off mid-sentence, makes you work around his schedule and only his schedule, and does not understand how to treat people the way he wants to be treated. He has several listings throughout Irvine and somehow manages to find clients, but he is simply unpleasant, short-tempered and difficult. While making the biggest purchase of a lifetime, stay away from Eric Fenchel. Don't use him to represent the sale of your home either because nobody will want to work with him with the demeanor and karma he gives off. Save yourself the headache of an unpleasant experience and find someone else.
