2/5/09 - Mary advised rental rate for Carlsbad condo 2/12 - Mary sent renter contract signed by her - with wrong amount (1950 instead of 1150 and wrong dates of occupancy). Advised renter that condo is for sale but will be taken off market until summer - even if sold, will not be closed until after May rental - rental would not be in jeopardy 2/16 - Renter mailed deposit check and signed contract (now signed by both owner and renter 2/27 - Mary advises she sold condo - "I will send check back today." 3/4 - Emailed Mary - no check received 3/4 - Reply from Mary - "Check sent yesterday. (3/3, not 2/27 as she stated) 3/7 - Called Mary - Check "in the mail" Unprofessional - made promises that were broken, errors on contract, did not honor contract or promises, did not (to date) return $200 deposit check. Did nothing to assist renter in finding alternative accommodations.
