He was professional yet down to earth and truly helped to make the homebuying experience smooth and easy for us. My husband and I interviewed several agents before hiring Derrick Coates. Our experience with Derrick was very professional and positive. We knew when comparing what other agents offer as marketing tools to get are home noticed, that Derrick Coates was the agent for us. He is very honest and although some of the things he told us about our house (ie; price) were not always what we wanted to hear, we knew that he was being honest and trusted him. The exposure that we received was amazing, once he listed our home and advertised it with great pictures, virtual tour, flyers, ads and on many internet sites. Derrick and his assistants were always there for us and provided us with any information we ever needed. We received updates regularly and could not have been more satified. Please do not trust Derrick Coates. He is very good at telling people what they want to hear. We initially thought that he was a good person and thought that we could trust him. My husband I trusted him and lost $5000. Neither my husband or myself would ever recommend him to anyone. After we decided we didn’t trust him any longer, he threatened us that if we did not put him on our new home that he would make sure that we didn’t get our $5,000 back from the first home. He told us that he needed to pay his bills and that he was not going to let us leave him off the home. After we purchased our new home (with him as our realtor), he informed us that we would not get our money back and blamed us. This was a year ago and both myself and my husband still feel upset about it. We honestly feel like we were taken advantage and if I can save other families from this feeling I will feel like I am doing something about it. Overall he was rude, arrogant, greedy, and an outright bully.

Any communication with Derrick was done mostly through his assistants because he is always "busy." If you get to talk to him in person - he will have to call you back - and then doesn't. If you need information from him - expect to wait a couple of days, call him then talk to his assistant who will refer the message. Asked for flyers to put in the sign box for our house for sale - never got them. Every interaction with this guy has been completely unprofessional in every way - horrible. RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We interviewed a few agents and choose Josh since he had the most passion for his profession. We were impressed with his marketing - the number of signs, custom flyers, newspaper ads, website, word of mouth, etc. He worked with us throughout the process and communicated with us consistently. I appreciated his use of new technology like email/texting/FaceBook/etc to reach us when needed. We'll use Josh again and again - and have recommended him to others. Thanks Josh! I think that we were some of Josh's first clients. My husband probably thought I was crazy when I told him that we were going to hire a 19 year realtor to sell our house. He trusted my gut instinct and within a couple of weeks, the house sold and Josh quickly helped us find another. Shortly after, my husband got orders to Fort Bliss and we once again had to sell a house but this time the market was bad. Even so, our house sold exactly when we needed it to. I referred several friends and co-workers to Josh because I was so impressed with his friendly demeanor and professionalism.

While stationed at Ft. Huachuca Josh helped us buy our first house. Two years later when it was time to relocate he sold our house. We had a great experience with both the buying and selling of our house with Josh. He is a natural. I dare say, he was born to do this. There is a good possiblity that we will PCS back to Ft. Huachuca in the near future. We will definitly be working with Mr. Berkley again.

I have known Josh Berkley for sometime now and he has always had a passion for people and to be a realtor. I have never met a person that fits into their career like Josh. Josh sold my parent's home after my mom passed and he was very thorough and covered all the important aspects of marketing their home, which by the way was not an easy task.
