- Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
- I love being a Realtor because I love meeting new people from all around the country and world. I enjoy the diversity of each and everyone. I love showing residential homes & vacant land and matching the properties to meet the buyer/seller needs.
- What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
- Staying up on all of the real estate law changes. Education is the key to knowing how to best represent our buyers and sellers. We try to attend all MLS meetings and many city, county & state meetings regarding the zoning, water issues, sewer district issues, etc. so that we stay up on everything that would possibly effect a purchase of real estate in this area.
- Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
- We listed a property in the $2 Million price range. The property was located high on a hillside in the Page Springs area of the valley. The road was very steep but the home was located on a beautiful 15 acre property that backed to forest land and had the most awesome views. The biggest challenge was to market the positives of the property, and not have people focused on the road. Many other Realtors in the area felt we would never be able to sell the property for the listed price due to the road and if we did it would take years to find the right buyer. We were creative and aggressive in our marketing and within 9 months from the date we listed the home, it was sold for nearly the asking price. We represented both the buyers and the sellers in the transaction and everyone walked away happy with the outcome!
- What is your best characteristic?
- Listening and understanding my clients wants and needs. Negotiating and looking for creative financing ideas when needed. I am willing to think "outside the box" in order to match the right buyer to the right property and still help the seller meet their need of selling the property at a price that works for both.
- Who or what inspires you the most?
- Helping others to help themselves or improve their circumstances. Using the Golden Rule in every circumstance of everyday life.
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- Educate yourself! Become an expert in your chosen field. Continue improving your expertise through continuing education and experience. Your mind is a terrible thing to waste, so learn something new and meet someone new everyday. Only by improving yourself and opening yourself up to life experiences can you improve the world and be of help to others.
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- I love living in the Verde Valley and enjoying the outdoor activities available during the 4 mild seasons of this high desert area. We are within a day drive to the Pacific Ocean, but have a quite peacefulness of the mountains and desert.
