What year did you become a real estate agent?
1988
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
I have sold Arizona real estate full time for the past 19 years.
What is the average home price in your market?
Average home price in my target market is $410,000.
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
I have been following the trend of new construction around the San Tan freeway and think that this is and will be one of the most popular areas to live in for many years to come. (Gilbert and Chandler, AZ)
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I enjoy the possibilty of meeting new clients everyday and the clients turning into lifetime friends after the real estate deal is complete. Some of my best friends today were my original clients 19 years ago.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
The industry is changing everyday not only with the market trends but with the new technology like Zillow that confuse the general public. The other issue is the lack of training being offered to the new agents which doesn't help make the closings a smooth ride like we were use to in the past.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
In May of 1997 I sold 13 homes in a three day period and left the firm I had been with for the last 10 years in the same week.(In the spur of the moment move, not planned). Best week and best move I have ever made.
What is your best characteristic?
Listening to the clients needs and building the game plan around their needs with my professional
knowledge to lean on to make the changes to keep the plan in a positive motion.
Who or what inspires you the most?
My wife and my kids. At the end of the day, no money, no real estate deal or current problems can replace the joy I feel when I am around my family!
What is the best advice you ever received?
Like the old saying "never judge a book by it's cover", my original mentor by the name of Bernard once told me to never judge a client by their looks, clothing or cars, some of the down dressers turn out to be the millionaire next door people you really want to know and represent!( Yes, they really do drive Buicks and Chevys.)
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Arizona! No matter where I travel to, it is always great to land at Sky Harbor airport. It seems that the weather here is usually better then anywhere you just visited.(Okay except San Diego) This is really home for me.
