Celise Rico buy a previous house with Marygrace Clarke and would not recommend them to other home buyers.
The Real Estate Broker / Location service that the Condo owners used was Clarke Location Services, owner Marygrace Clarke. I moved into the Chandler condo at the beginning of the year, prior to my move in I asked Marygrace if the condo was in good standings or if I would have to worry about Foreclosure. She assured me that the condo was in good standings and that there would be no issues. Within 24hours of when I moved into the condo I found that the heater was broken, and it just happened to be at the coldest time of the year. It took 10 days for her to get the heater fixed as she used personal friends / contractor of hers that were completey unqualified and inapproriate. There were three men in my house to fix the heater (which they runied), and at one point one of the contractors made a comment regarding breaking into my house. When I let Marygrace know that I was completely uncomfortable with the statement her comment to me was "It's fine, just tell him you have a boyfriend", and continued to let them work in my house. Not only were they in appropriate with me, but they also did more damage than good with the heater/airconditioner. Once the Heater was fixed the AC side went out, again she tried to use this company and again it took 10 days to fix. Becuase the "friends" that she used did so much damage to the unit another AC company had to be called and the unit had to be replaced as the company that Marygrace had been using demolished the unit. It caused the owners $6,000.00 to replace the unit. On March 16th Marygrace called me to let me know that the owners were going to do a short sale. Knowing that a property has to be delinquent before you can do a short sale, I asked if the condo was in forclosure. She assured me that it wasn't and told me that March was going to be the first missed payment. Forclosure documents are public information so I was able to get the forclosure docment for my unit...not only was the property delinquent, but a payment had not been made since September 2008. That means when I moved into the condo it was already in default, and the owners had been serverd the foreclosure documents on February 26th, 2009. I called Marygrace back the next day, March 17th and again asked her if my property was in foreclosure as I was feeling uneasy about the short sale and she again assured me that all was well and March would be the first payment missed. She did not admit to knowing that the property was in foreclosure until I informed her I had the document in my hand. She then told me she didn't know the property was delinquent until the hearter broke, which agian was within 24 hours after I moved in. She lied to me. Once I let her know I knew the property was in foreclosre she quit answering my phone calls and e-mails, she completely avoided me. Because I could not get in touch with her I had to find a way to get in touch with the property owner. When I did get in touch with them they told me that she had told them that I had signed a month to month lease and was ready to move at any time...she lied, I had a year lease. Why would you lie about the length of a lease if you did not know it was in foreclosure when I moved in?? When I told her I was moving out she told me I had to give her 30 days notice. She wanted to hold me to my least and not give me my deposit back, when really she should have been reimbursing me for all of my moving costs for my fraudulent lease. I had to call lawyers to find out my rights. Making this short...she lied to me and to the owners. Her lies to the owners cost them $6,000.00 in a new AC and her lies to me cost me over $10,000.00 with moving costs both in and out of the condo and the rent for the three months I lived there. She is very rude and unprofessional. I am filing a complaint with the Arizona department of Real Estate as she should not have a license. I would highly recommend if you are buying, selling or renting that you stay far away from this company. It could cost you dearly. Have a blessed day!
KR buy a previous house with Marygrace Clarke and would not recommend them to other home buyers.
Mary Grace Clarke is unprofessional and has no Moral conscious. She uses non-liscenced contractors because of personal relationships in turn costing home owners thousands of dollars. She rents properties to tenants know that the property is in foreclosure. She is lacking in both personal and professional judgement. Stay far away from this agent.
