"John really took the time to listen to what I was looking for in a home and show me what was out there that could suit me. Throughout, I always felt like he cared personally about me being happy in my first home."

Went above and beyond the call of duty - Allison Bailey (Sep 08, 2009)

"It seems unfair to only give John 5 stars, because he deserves many more than that. As my agent, John was given a very tough task with the short sale of my condo. I had been through several agents before him who were unable to get the job done, a job that John completed in a matter of weeks. He not only found multiple buyers for my condo, he also went to bat with my lender to get a nearly impossible short sale approved, when everyone else said it couldn't be done. John went above and beyond the call of duty for me; making calls to my lender, the mortgage insurance company, and made an otherwise stressful process as comfortable and worry free as possible. John was not just an agent... he became a friend, and treated me like I was his first priority and the only listing he had. Saying that I would highly recommend John would be an understatement. If you want the job done, he is the only agent to call. I will never use anyone else."
Response: "Allison, all I can say is wow. I am humbled by your kind words. It was such a pleasure serving you." This review has been confirmed by the reviewer.

Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I have a teachers heart so I take pleasure in helping both buyers and sellers navigate through the often complex would of real estate.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
One of the challenging things I face when it comes to some new clients is combating the stereo type that real estate agents are only concerned with making a quick commission. I value my clients trust and serve them best without their trust that I will always put their interest above my own.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
One of my client success stories that comes to mind is one that did not go smoothly. I was representing the buyer of a bank owned home. They had already given notice to their landlord and had another week after the scheduled closing before they had to move out. My clients had completed all of their requirements and were waiting for the seller to review and sign the documents. My clients arranged for movers on the last day of their lease. As it turned out the movers loaded their stuff up that day and we had been told that we would receive the sellers signed documents also that day and we could close. Well needless to say the seller did not come through and my clients were stuck. The movers they had hired needed their truck for a job the next day so I rented two moving trucks for the movers to move my clients belongings into and rented a hotel room for them. Then when we finally closed I hired another set of movers to load their stuff into the home. My clients understood that the situation had not been my fault so they appreciated my willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to relieve their stress. To have them show their appreciation when they were in the midst of trying circumstances really meant a lot to me.
What is your best characteristic?
I am trustworthy.
Who or what inspires you the most?
Compliments and referals from satisfied clients as well as the relationships that come from them.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Always keep a positive outlook no matter how trying the circumstances might be. That attitude has helped me throughout life and in real estate.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Where ever I am at the time and right now that is Phoenix. I have always had the ability to find the best in every place I live. Fortunately that is very easy living in Phoenix where I am not left wanting.
