Not a good experience
I did not have a good experience with Susan Buttars as a property manager. Until my renters managed to track me down, I had no idea that she had closed up shop and was not managing my property. I was lucky that the renters were understanding--but I ended up losing rent and deposit money that I ended up refunding to my renters out of pocket. She would not return phone calls and the office was cleared out when I went by. Very unprofessional.
COMPLAINT
Susan Buttars has been my prop. mgr. since 2006. I never had any problem until this Feb. of 2008. I am not receiving any rent payments, and so I called and e-mailed her since feb until to this date. And she has not respond to any of these. I live out of state, and I feel helpless of my current situation. I am not sure what have happened to her? Can anyone please let me know where she's at and what actually happened to her? I called the Dept of RE and complain about my situation with her. The lady I spoke with said that the dept has received same complaints also. And Susan did not return the department calls, demand letters, and she did not show up in her subpoena date. She was nice and up to date until just this year of 2008.
Bad Business
We contacted Susan Buttars to clean and rent our condo in Mesa. After charging us $675 for cleanup, she quit communicating with us altogether. We left numerous messages on phones and email none of which she responded to. We live out of state so contacted an attorney who gave us a realtor to check things out. He never found anyone in the office or received any return calls either. He rekeyed the condo and found it not cleaned for move in...greasy sink, fridge need work, bathroom still needing cleaned, etc. We were never notified that she was closing business at all! Very poor professional ethics even if she had problems!
complaint
My experience with Susan Buttars is with her as a property manager, which she ran out of the same office as her real estate. The tenants renting out my house were unable to reach her for three weeks to turn in their keys and get a walk through, and they finally tracked me down. It turns out that the office of Susan Buttars is closed down and she never bothered to contact me to let me know that she is no longer managing my property. And there is no way to get back deposit money, etc. to refund to renters. I'm guessing that her ability to stay on top of a problem are also reflected in her general abilities as a real estate agent.
