Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
The last half of 2007 has seen many changes from 2 years ago in the Valley of the Sun. There is still new homes being built that you can get great cost incentives from and it cost's the buyer nothing to be represented by a REALTOR. The "short sale" or Foreclosure market is unfortunately growing but that does produce numerous investment opportunities and great affordability for those that had trouble qualifing because of elevated home prices in the past.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
My joy comes from helping people relize one of their biggest dreams in life - A Home to call their own. I want to make this experiance as hassle free as possible by narrowing their search down to what THEY want and negotiating on THEIR behalf then following the transaction through from the loan to the closing process, I'm there for my clients.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
The challenge in Real Estate today is what I really love and that is in re-educating clients to understand the importance of a win win negotiation It's really not about someone wining and someone losing anymore.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
Selling a home to my in-laws has to be the monument of my career thus far. Making sure I pleased them with not only the choice of home but also in a "smooth" transaction. Especially since my father in-law is a retired Realtor and Appraiser! As it turns out they were very appreciative and happy! Whew!
What is your best characteristic?
I'm easy to deal with in that I'm a good listner and patient.
Who or what inspires you the most?
Positive People inspire me - Always!
What is the best advice you ever received?
For this business the best advise I ever received is the old saying - go with your gut feeling - it works everytime!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Since I haven't seen the "world" yet, but have been to some beautiful places, I would have to say the British Virgin Islands. It's where my husband and I spent our honeymoon - on a sail boat for 10 days!
