What year did you become a real estate agent?
2005
How many years have you been in Real Estate?
4 years. Within 6 months in the business, we were competing for #1 in our market.
What is the average home price in your market?
$250,000 approx.
Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
Job growth is strong, military is increasing, speculative home building has slowed, so market values and sales have begun to increase dramatically.
Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
I get to help people on a daily basis with one of the most important events of their lives.
What is the most challenging issue you face as a Real Estate Professional?
Short sales or pre-foreclosure issues are the toughest for us. Lenders are starting to get better with short sales and we have successfully closed several recently.
Tell us one of your client success stories or an interesting moment in your profession.
I once went out on a second story deck that was off a master bedroom to take virtual tour photos of the view and when I shut the door, I realized I locked myself out. It was cold, I didn't have my jacket on, and I was in rural Fairbanks with no cell service and no one to call to for help. Good thing I had gone to Airborne school in the Army and remembered how to execute a parachute landing fall. If only someone would've had a video camera.
What is your best characteristic?
The passion I have for my work.
Who or what inspires you the most?
My children and the American Soldier.
What is the best advice you ever received?
"Knowing a little about your people, is better than knowing everything about your product." -Chuck Bode
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Fairbanks! (Or maybe Hawaii in the winters.)
